I lost my baby girl at 31 weeks in gestation. Not something one would read off the bat, but my grief was the precursor of my spiritual journey. I feel that I should start my story this way. I received my first Reiki healing from my younger brother, Abraham, shortly after giving birth to my “sleeping” Isabella. Full of grief and my mind was scattered, I longed to have reprieve from that dark place and be able to breathe again…to be able to think clearly again. After my first session, I felt all my thoughts buzzing around every which way settled. I was amazed by how silent and still my mind was. It was as if all the cats have been herded and they’re all quietly purring in a corner – content and integrated. I was able to take a deep breath and do life again even if it’s for a short while.

The emotional relief I received prompted me to continue my healing in this modality. I didn’t want to remain depressed, miserable, and suicidal. I know that Isabella would not want that for me either. Not then. Not now. Not ever. After receiving numerous Reiki healing from different sources, the path unfolded for me to take the next step, and that is to become a certified practitioner myself.

I am guided to share Reiki with the world as I know first-hand that it can help. I’m not saying that it is the answer, but it may be one of the answers in your journey to healing.
